We are looking for a Director of Employee Experience & Communications responsible for developing and driving the employee engagement and experience strategy for Emerson Europe and for designing internal and external employee-related communications. Reporting to our Vice President of Human Resources, you will be part of our Global Culture, Employee Experience & Communication community of expertise, and will enable the activation and dissemination of the ongoing Emerson culture transformation, as well as elevate Emerson as employer of choice in the talent marketplace.

You can be based Anywhere in Europe close to a major airport or in one of our many offices where you can have the flexibility to work remotely up to 2 or 3 days a week.

As the Director of Employee Experience & Communications , You will :

  • Lead our internal communication strategy and develop impactful communication plans templates and tools to support the ongoing Emerson culture transformation.

  • Act as the communications expert advising the Europe Leadership team and Europe HR Function on effective communication strategy.

  • Own and lead Emerson’s continuous listening program and engagement survey process.

  • Identify & find opportunities to collaborate across initiatives to reach goals around improving employee experience and engagement.

  • Align culture priorities within the organisation to our overall diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

  • Work with others to develop artwork, collateral and content that can be used to support candidate outreach and recruitment.

  • Write, edit and distribute messages that advise and inspire employees – taking into account local language and cultures, ensuring that messages resonate with intended audience.

  • Coordinates Leadership communication activities and ensures alignment of message and form to be disseminated and used throughout the organization.

  • Identify emerging trends and stay up to date on the standard methodologies. Assess and share how trends will impact current and future talent.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • Demonstrable Experience with communications, human resources and/or marketing.

  • Fluency in english, other European languages are a plus.

  • Resourcefulness with the ability to project manage and get work done through others.

  • Proven experience building effective relationships and communicating with the executive to junior audiences; Able to influence and persuade effectively.

  • Proven background in managing change with a track record of making progress towards goals.
