Our groundbreaking tools enable organizations to identify hotspots, improve sustainability performance, save time and money, and engage with value chain partners to scale systemic change across the industry.Position DescriptionThe Director of Higg Facility Tools will be responsible for managing and updating the Higg Facilities Module: the Facility Environment Module (FEM) and the Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM) and their suite of resources. The goal of this position is to continue to integrate input of Coalition members, facilities, and stakeholders into the tools and resources through effective engagement and facilitation and to scale the implementation of these tools globally.This role requires an expert in project management who is experienced and confident with facilitation of diverse stakeholders perspectives. This role also will require familiarity and experience working with facility environmental and/or social/labor program implementation.Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Develop a vision and roadmap for the FEM and FSLM tools, value proposition and their applications to support the industry’s sustainability goals.

  • Coordinate industry alignment around the Higg FEM and FSLM frameworks and tools, in order to reduce the duplication of efforts across the value chain to drive adoption at scale
  • Continue the development of resources that support the global scaling of the Higg Facility tools, including “How to Higg” guidance, training and implementation guides, resources, and translations.
  • Be Cascale’s lead expert for Higg FSLM & Higg FEM with external stakeholders and partners.
  • Track and analyze Higg FSLM & FEM adoption data, including the development and review of data exports, internal and member data reporting.
  • Continue iterating the tools to ensure they are up-to-date and fit for purpose
  • Facilitate and coordinate Cascale’s member involvement process in order to complement internal expertise in the development of FEM and FSLM tools and programs.
  • Work closely with Cascale’s technology partner Worldly in the development of the tool on the platform, such as through QA testing and new feature design.
  • Liaise with the Social Labor Convergence Project (

) to support the development of the FSLM tool and CAF methodology. * Leverage the Higg FEM and FSLM to drive industry collective action on foundational environmental performance, decarbonization, and decent work for all.

  • Track and analyze Higg FSLM & FEM performance data, including the development and review of data exports, internal and member data reporting.
  • Coordinate development and creation of communications, case studies and white papers on the Higg FSLM & FEM adoption, results and impact.
  • Identify capability building needs and support in the development of training content related to the Higg facilities modules.

QualificationsIdeal candidate has:

  • 10+ years of experience within the apparel, footwear, or home textiles industries including facility engagement and sustainability programs;
  • Experience with multi-layered, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and a solution oriented approach;
  • Strong project management, analytics and leadership skills;
  • Experience in developing and implementing environmental or social sustainability programs at manufacturing facilities in the apparel, footwear, or home textiles industries;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Experience in consensus building;
  • Strong familiarity with Cascale and the Higg suite of tools with a clear understanding of the difference in approach between Higg and standard audits
  • Experience working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds
  • Passion for sustainability;
  • BA required, MA Preferred.

Reporting StructureThis is a full-time role, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Higg Index.Compensation and LocationCascale offers competitive salary commensurate with experience.
