Those who work hard, make mistakes, but always continue to grow.Denim is in our DNA, our people are our stitching.Join the denim heads making raw denim!Here’s what we’ll do together:The G-Star E-commerce Trade team consists of 12 people who carry the responsibility of optimizing sales performance and consumer experience for the G-star website and app, working closely together with teams like E-commerce Content & Product, Digital Marketing, CRM and Planning to strive for optimal trading.Our e-commerce business is continuously growing and we have some very ambitious growth targets for the coming years. We are continually exploring new techniques to bring the industry forward and always accelerating the pace in which we do business.As the Digital Trade Manager for Product, you will strive to present a product range that exceeds the expectations of our customer. Starting with product performance analysis, you will ensure the requirements of E-Commerce and incorporate it in the buying process. You will then define the go-to-market strategy for our ranges, including how product is presented on site and how it is featured within customer communications.The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of e-commerce merchandising, is commercially savvy, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Your tasks & responsibilities:Assortment & Trading

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Buying and Planning to ensure an optimal assortment for our online channels.
  • Provide analysis in accordance with the buying calendar to ensure requirements can be incorporated.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure promotional assortments match our commercial aspirations.
  • Analyze promotional performance and suggest improvements that improve commercial performance including marginal optimization and sell-through.

Onsite Merchandising Strategy

  • Develop a visual merchandising strategy that takes account of brand campaigns, trade activations and assortment variations.
  • Adjust ranking cocktails in order to optimize pages and perform on-going analysis to ensure commercial delivery.
  • Align with optimization teams on the best implementation of product recommendations including ‘complete the look’ and ‘you may also like’.
  • Work with regional owners (internal and external) to ensure visual-merchandising, search, & recommendations reflect local customer needs.
  • Incorporate new technologies including AI and Personalization
  • Embrace a test-and-learn mentality to continually improve customer experience and deliver additional revenue.
  • Ideate and execute A/B tests to validate merchandising strategies and conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in the market.

On-Site Search

  • Optimize search performance through the use of available tools to ensure customers are served with optimal results that drive conversion and revenue.
  • Share search insights with relevant teams including Product, Content and Marketing to help serve our customers with what they are looking for across all touchpoints.

Content & Communications

  • Collaborate with Content teams on the timely activation of new products and with Outlet teams on the out phasing of old products.
  • Help to build engaging and commercial content and communication plans with the relevant stakeholders by incorporating your assortment and trend knowledge. Stakeholders include CRM (newsletters) and App (push notification) teams.
  • Ensure high-investment and best-selling products are well represented across site and throughout

communications including new page creation and product labels.

  • Share your product knowledge with relevant teams to help steer navigation changes.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of previous campaigns and incorporate insights from local market trends to inform future merchandising decisions.
  • Regular reporting on product performance including on-site activity, funnel progression, margin and sell-through.
  • Use available tools to report on customer journey activities including heat map analysis.
  • Review and share competitor assortment analysis.

Here’s what you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital merchandising, product management, or related roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce best practices and the competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in online marketing principles, including conversion optimization, A/B testing, and web analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Algolia or similar merchandising tools is preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve independently, as well as collaborate with team members.
  • Bachelor or Masters degree.
  • Fluency in English required!
