Our commitment to excellence in creative arts education sets us apart, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed in their chosen fields.About the Role:As Digital Library Services Coordinator, you will lead and manage the development and day-to-day operations of our digital library services, ensuring they are accessible, innovative, and aligned with the University’s creative and academic goals. You will oversee the delivery of digital resources, manage a team, and contribute to a digital-first agenda, supporting both the educational and research needs of students and staff across the University.What You’ll Do:

  • Provide leadership and management of the Digital Library, including overseeing operations, setting objectives, and ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with faculties, technology teams, and external partners to develop and enhance digital library solutions that support diverse learning, teaching, and research requirements.
  • Oversee the procurement of digital resources, manage budgets, and produce reports on usage and engagement.
  • Lead the operational delivery of the online study skills programme, ensuring access to high-quality resources and lecturer-led support.
  • Develop policies and guidelines related to copyright, licensing, and digital resource management, ensuring university-wide compliance.
  • Promote digital and information literacy through workshops, training sessions, and instructional material development.
  • Support the Dean of Digital Education in planning and implementing strategies related to digital learning and library services.
  • Work on academic audit and development projects, contributing to the University’s educational and academic strategies.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A degree-level qualification and demonstrable experience in a related role, ideally within a higher education environment.
  • Proven knowledge and experience using library management systems to manage collections, alongside strong IT and organisational skills.
  • Experience leading and managing a team, with the ability to operationally plan and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of producing high-quality reports, documentation, and multimedia resources that are clear and accessible to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with digital literacy promotion, copyright compliance, and emerging digital tools like AI to enhance library services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, make operational decisions, and handle complex situations with creativity and initiative.
