Digital Learning Technologist£27,729 – £30,311 per annum37.5 hours per weekPermanentAbout the Role

  • Work with Digital Learning Team, academic colleagues and other key departments to promote the best use of digital learning across Hartpury University and Hartpury College.
  • To support the administration and development of Moodle and additional digital learning technologies such as Microsoft O365, Turnitin, Planet eStream and Panopto.
  • To provide ongoing support to academic staff in the use of digital technology to enhance teaching, learning and assessment, either for on campus delivery, a blended learning approach or a remote learning environment.
  • Collaborate with academic staff and apply expert, technical skills to support the design and creation of high-quality eLearning materials and resources using a range of digital technologies.
  • To deliver one-to-one, workshops and online CPD to support staff in the best use of digital technology to enhance teaching, learning and assessment.
  • To support the creation of high-quality training materials and pre-recorded content to support the enhancement of staff skills and competencies in using digital learning technology.
  • To provide technical advice and support to both student and staff queries in relation to the range of digital platforms and technologies available at Hartpury University and Hartpury College.
  • To demonstrate knowledge and understanding of issues and constraints of blended learning material development in further and higher education, including accessibility.

About You

  • Experience of working within the education sector.
  • Experience of administering Moodle (e.g. managing users, course creation, block management, adding groups/cohorts etc.)
  • Experience of creating content on Moodle for teaching, learning and assessment
  • Experience of providing support and guidance in using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Experience of supporting academic staff with the design and creation of digital learning resources and materials
  • Experience of using a range of digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning and assessment, either on campus, in a blended approach and/or a fully online environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
