Job Description Summary
The Diagnostic Solutions Expert will join the Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) division of BD and will be responsible for the delivery of Professional Services in support of commercial opportunities within the BENELUX. This will be primarily focused on laboratory users of the SPECIMEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS portfolio, but not limited to.
This is a field-based role with significant levels of customer interaction. You will be responsible for the provision of ‘Professional Services’ to users of the SPECIMEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS Portfolio. This will include Product Training, Implementation and Support, Targeted Upselling of focus products and deployment of Consulting Activities such as Preanalytical Quality Check (PAQC) and workflow mapping.
You will collaborate closely with IDS Account Managers to plan and coordinate targeted professional services for the SPECIMEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS portfolio in line with IDS commercial objectives.

Integrated Diagnostics Solutions
By aligning and simplifying our work, our Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation around everything from integrated specimen management to diagnostic solutions.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
TRAININGS, IMPLEMENTATION, PRODUCT SUPPORT (60%)
Deliver targeted and customized trainings to specific accounts on selected focus products. This will include delivery of clinical and laboratory training for Specimen Management portfolio, both face-to-face and virtually.
Maintain BD category SPECIMEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS share in clinical, patient facing settings through training and upselling. Eg. specimen acquisition products where clinical users have alternate competitor choices.
Promotion and sign-up of account and end-users to SPECIMEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS e-learning.
Support SPECIMEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS & IDS product evaluations in targeted accounts.
Competitor Account Conversion Planning & Execution. Provision of clinical, product and laboratory training as part of total Specimen Management conversions to applicable stakeholders in an account or network
Provision of internal product training to IDS new starters.
Clinical and workflow support with on-label product usage for external and internal stakeholders
Use of SFDC to log activities and enter product complaints.
Support product manager in answering tenders and represent BD during congresses
Review complaint closure letters before being sent to customer
Provide expert clinical/application support related to complaint, troubleshooting and product issues, on site and remotely. Understand the analyzers (3rd party vendor) workflow. Ensure the proper follow up with customer.
CONSULTING (20%)
Expert in blood drawing procedures and specimen management best practices.
Delivery of consulting services in targeted accounts to support share gain, retention or expansion. This may include PAQC, Day In Your Labs, Lean and workflow mapping tool deployment.
Support of solutions approach through provision of Professional Services to gain key data to support commercial opportunities
Use of Sales Force Dot Com to log activities
PROMOTION OF FOCUS PRODUCTS & SERVICES (SALES) (20%)
Partner with Account Managers to support achievement of territory and country business objectives
Contribute to the understanding of current and future customer needs in liaison with the product manager, medical affairs- and account manager through sales visits with account managers
Work closely with the account manager to define the sustainment activities and create a standard process for customer visits into clinical reference laboratories, support the key visits
Upselling of SPECIMEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS portfolio in targeted accounts to support country commercial objectives, leveraging the transition into the digital sample pathway with pre-barcoded products
Education and Experience:
Required
Educated to minimum a bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a life-sciences related discipline or relevant clinical experience
Previous experience working in a technically focused role within the healthcare sector
Understanding of quality metrics in clinical laboratories
Experience providing training both face-to-face and virtually
Fluency in Dutch and English
Preferable
Good knowledge of French
Sales experience, preferably in medical devices and diagnostics industries.
Knowledge of LEAN working and change management. Demonstrate proven ability to identify and implement workflow improvements
Ability to work effectively in multifunctional teams to achieve a common goal
Cultural fit will be critical, with emphasis on the drive to succeed as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong coalitions and influence key stakeholders (Sales Leaders and Account Managers in the region, members of the European CWS team, and cross-business unit Clinical teams), to leverage their strengths to drive growth, will also be the key to success
Practicing / accredited Phlebotomist desirable

Travel Requirements:
Travel within the BENELUX Territory is expected with some overnight stay, if necessary
Travel in Europe to be expected in few instances
Field work estimated as 80% of role (BENELUX)
