Then we are looking for you!Job Description:What will you do?As a DevOps Engineer for Market Risk within the IT Risk, Legal and Compliance (RLC) team you have a responsibility to implement improvements in the system setup, dataflow and reporting. For this you work closely together with the Market Risk team to implement the right solutions in the Market Risk system. Also, you work closely together with the application manager and are able to replace him when needed. You do this from a wide perspective with your knowledge about Market Risk and Finance concepts and technical knowledge about how to translate this to a IT solution. Your job requires close cooperation within the IT team, Risk, Finance and ALM.As a DevOps Engineer:

  • Implement IT solutions in various programming languages and UI components
  • You connect with stakeholders to align on detailed requirements and demo solutions
  • You are (partly) responsible for -or participate in- relevant IT changes/projects
  • You advertise features of the system for optimal use within the organization and you communicate with users about content, dataflows and functionalities
  • You make IT transparent for your business colleagues of Market Risk, Finance and ALM.
  • Back-up for the application manager of the Market Risk application

Your applicationsYou will be working with the central Market Risk application including the reporting tool attached to this. Also, you will have to understand and work with the Linux batch processes with respect to the data processing of the application. Working with Shell and Python scripting on Linux is therefore part of the role. Besides this you will be working with the historical database and Business Objects environment attached to the Market Risk application.Your teamAs DevOps Engineer you are part of the sub team IT Risk, Legal and Compliance which is part of the team IT Finance & Risk. A multidisciplinary team in which several competences are present, like Application Managers, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Service Managers etc. The team consists of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. ).What do you bring?You are good in implementing IT solutions and able to communicate about this to stakeholders. You add value by your experience and knowledge within the area of IT and Financial Risk. You have good programming skills, are pro-active and and you know how to work together with different stakeholders. You are not afraid to ask questions or propose improvements and you understand the technology you have to work with. In our area we work a lot with external vendors and external employees, it is important you know how to collect and secure knowledge about the solutions which are built or have to be supported.Competences and education:

  • You have a WO or HBO degree in the direction of Mathematics, Physics or Econometrics
  • You have affinity with Financial Risk and understand Market Risk and Financial concepts.
  • You have analytical skills and are able to propose improvements
  • You have technical skills to understand and implement solutions in the IT system
  • You have strong communication skills to be able to showcase the functionalities of the Market Risk application and align with stakeholders about improvements.
  • Knowledge of the most recent ITIL framework
  • You are experienced in working in Agile/Scrum/DevOps teams
  • Fluent in English
