Private Cloud Finance and Risk organization delivers leading finance applications as part of SAP’s enterprise SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud portfolio. We are a global development organization that works in close collaboration with customers and partners to support superior finance processes and new business models.

What you´ll do

As a developer, you will become a part of a diverse, international community. You will have a responsibility for managing parts of the SAP S/4HANA finance applications. Your tasks will focus on maintaining the existing code and bringing and implementing new ideas.

Your tasks will include:

-Understanding and resolving software issues
-Managing the source code for key SAP software
-Making and testing corrections to the source code
-Effective communication to customers and colleagues in English
-Developing new features
-Resolving customer issues that technical support is unable to resolve
-Participation on strategic projects (applied AI, incident prevention, system self-healing, etc.)
 

What you bring:

Required skills

-Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience using any OOP language (Java, ABAP, Python); eagerness to learn OO ABAP
-Strong English communication skills for collaborating with global teams and customers
-Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
-Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
-Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while contributing to a global team
-Aware of: agentic engineering, agentic orchestration, cloud architecture, context engineering, and AI day-to-day practices 
-Quick learning, outstanding analytical and complex problem-solving skills
 

Preferred skills

-Customer Focus: Ability to provide customer support and maintenance.
-Ability to work with AI tools
-SQL
-Experience with ABAP development
-JavaScript
-Experience with OO ABAP, RAP, and CDS/VDM; experience building services and extensions for S/4HANA Cloud
-Hands-on experience integrating AI tools with SAP systems (SAP AI Core, Generative AI Hub, BTP AI services, LLM providers)
-Fiori/SAPUI5 design and implementation expertise; ABAP certification
-Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
