Randstad are currently recruiting a Design Manager to work with a very highly regarded tier 1 contractor on a major project in West London.

The project is a part of a framework valued over GBP2 billion.

Responsibilities:

* Proactively drive and develop solutions to our client’s problems
* Manage the technical risks on projects in relation to design and construction
* Develop and maintain the design programme, aligned, and linked to the construction
* Lead on design change control in collaboration with the commercial team
* Drive the application of digital engineering and BIM objectives
* Ensure technical compliance of design submissions

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Design Manager in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on heavy civils projects.
* Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry standards.
* Knowledge/experience of M&E interface.
* Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of driving high-performance teams.
* Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.

Experience within the rail and civils sector is desirable for this vacancy.
