Nothing less.Join Our Dynamic Team:In your role as a Design for Manufacturing and Moulding Specialist, your daily tasks include collaborating with Mechanical Designers to provide design insights and giving technical assistance to Tool Project Managers for issues related to molding processes. Occasionally, you will travel to suppliers to align molding expectations and process settings. You will utilize your practical know-how and understanding of the molding process to offer valuable input to tool designers and mechanical part designers. We believe in Design for Manufacturing as the process of “making a functional part in the most effective and simple way”.In the Tool Design Center Team, we focus on providing valuable feedback to Mechanical Designers while designing tools for our production sites. This role is an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical understanding and explore innovative solutions. You will collaborate with colleagues to improve our working standards and share best practices.You will report to the Manager for the Tool Design Center and be part of a team consisting of 5 Tool Designers & Design of Manufacturing specialists. The position is based at our Head Office in Smørum, Denmark, and we offer flexible work-from-home options, up to two days per week.In this role it is expected up to approx. 30 international travel days a year.Your primary focus will be to:Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with R&D in New Product Introduction to mature plastic part designs for manufacturing readiness.
  • Define machine specifications for new plastic parts.
  • Support our Prototype Center with molding tests of new parts.
  • Run FOT and process windows with suppliers.
  • Travel to external suppliers for new tool qualifications.
  • Use Moldex3D to simulate plastic parts and provide Design for Manufacturing inputs.

What we are looking forIdeally, you hold an education within tooling or molding, or relevant educational background as a plastics engineer.Besides this, you bring:

  • +5 years of relevant plastic molding experience
  • Intricate knowledge of moulding process and machine setting
  • CAD expertise
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken English

You will be working in an organization currently undergoing a transformation to adopt an agile development setup.
