to the jobASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips.Multi e-Beam Inspection tools are part of ASML’s holistic lithography portfolio. ASML has an Electron Optical competence center in Delft, with multi-disciplinary teams, where we combine Research with Development & Engineering and deliver modules and system designs for the Multi e-Beam Inspection products.We are looking for an experienced physicist, with an integrated photonics background, who can join one of our teams focused on electron optical module design & simulations. Being able to start off with few requirements on a product roadmap or a coarse conceptual design, your team delivers solutions which enable system engineering to decide on a next generation tool or for other engineers to complete their detailed designs. These designs will be used in a production environment, so the manufacturability of your proposals, but also the applicability of the design in the field are important aspects to consider.Role and responsibilitiesAt ASML-Delft we focus on the development of electron-optical inspection tools. It is a cost-competitive market, demanding fast iterations and high quality. In this challenging environment we need you to:Be a technical leader, inspire and support other engineers around you in technology choicesInteract with project leaders, function owners and architects on technical content.Participate in integrated optics projects to explore the potential of this technology for future multi beam inspection tools. You take responsibility for the specification, design, and modelling of these devices.You communicate with suppliers on the realization of photonic integrated chips.You evaluate the performance of these devices in experimental setups.Operate as a team-player in cross-functional teams.Deliver high quality documentation.Education and experienceYou have an MSc or PhD in integrated optics.Experience:You have 5+ years of relevant working experience.You are skilled in integrated optics component design, preferably with knowledge of Ansys Lumerical, RSoft Photonic Device Tools or similar design software.You are knowledgeable in photonics manufacturing process.Experience in measurement and characterization of photonic integrated circuits is a plus.You show excellent skills in technical writing, communication, and presentation techniques.SkillsFlexible and open-minded, you are able to cope with changing requirements, deadlines and priorities.
