The CoMo (Collector Module team) design engineer is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on Collector field data, automating data processing & proposing improvements. The candidate reports directly to the Group Lead of Spectrally Pure EUV Collection group and works within the Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe) organization.The overall group’s mission is to deliver industrialized and optimal solutions for Spectrally Pure EUV Collection. To enable this we drive competence and function roadmaps for EUV Collection, including:
- Collector module lifetime diagnostics;
- Optics (EUV=Extreme Ultra Violet/DUV=Deep Ultra Violet/IR=InfraRed);
- Source to scanner alignment;
- Industrialization (6p&6s’s, MTTR=Mean Time To Repair & MTBI=Mean Time Between Interrupts);
- Collector module Cost of Ownership (CoO) and Lifecycle.
In our daily work we focus on:
- Embed field feedback loop in the design;
- Ensure smooth rollout of new/improved designs to customers and Make it Well, Make it Together with CS and Operations.
Job missionThe Collector module is accountable for 25% of all source part Usage Cost. Today, there are no closed plans to meet the required Collector cost target. Therefore, we need a Design engineer to analyze/evaluate data, conduct simulation studies, support Collector costs managements & to identify technical cost saving opportunities both @ operational & design level.Job descriptionAs CoMo design engineer you are responsible for:
- Identification of critical parameters affecting Collector cost of ownership (CoO).
- Perform and/or support the acquisition of relevant data, with focus on automation.
- Static and time-series based data analysis for quantification of CoO trends, sensitivities and potential improvements.
- Improvement of CoO-related models to enhance CoO forecasting accuracy.
- Identification of Collector lifecycle related improvements and strategies for collector cost optimization. Furthermore you will operate as a team-player in cross-functional teams.
- Providing regular updates on the status of work via presentations and/or other ASML documentation to internal, cross-sector and external stakeholders.
Educational Level
- Master’s or PhD in Physics, Material science or other engineering/related fields.
- Master’s or PhD in Econometrics
Experience Knowledge
- Experienced in object-oriented programming
- Knowledgeable in statistical data analysis
- Preferably experienced in Python
