TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Birmingham that values creativity, innovation, and practical learning. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, with well-equipped workshops that allow both staff and students to excel in Design Technology.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated DT Teacher on a temporary to permanent basis, starting ASAP with a view to continuing into September. The successful DT Teacher will be responsible for teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons, maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment, and supporting students of mixed abilities.

The successful DT Teacher will have:

. QTS with a DT specialism (ECTs are welcome )
. Experience teaching DT up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
. Knowledge of health and safety within a workshop environment
. A proactive and engaging teaching style
. The ability to support students of varying abilities
