This role is available to current employees within Facilities Directorate at the University of Leeds onlySalary: Grade 6 (£30,487 – £36,024 p.a. depending on experience)This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.Are you a highly motivated maintenance professional? Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills to deliver a first-class service to clients?Initially managing specialist contractors, in time you will build and lead a professional team in delivering planned, preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to a range of mechanical systems, predominately supporting specialist research and teaching facilities.You will collaborate with the Asset Management Team to update records including the change management of asset information (drawings, written schemes, etc.) for a range of University systems.

You will support various stakeholders across Estates and Facilities Services and the wider Facilities Directorate to ensure compliance and safety in the workplace. You will report to the Maintenance Contracts Manager where you will be a central point of contact to ensure compliance is in line with statutory requirements, industry standards and University guidelines.Your daily interaction with our internal customers and contractors means you’ll be the ‘face’ of the Compliance Team.
