  • You will join a team of more or less 30 control strategy- and modeling experts that develop the controls software for our hybrid DCT transmission family.
  • The controls team works according to the agile scrum methodology under the guidance of a scrum master and product owner.
  • The controls software is developed according to our Model Based Development process (V-cycle) with Simulink. You will be involved in every step of the software development Vcycle, i.e. defining the requirements (in alignment with the customer), designing the control strategies, implementing them in Simulink, verifying and validating them on different platforms (MiL, HiL, test bench, vehicle).
  • As DCT Controls Engineer – Diagnostics you will work the design and validation of the diagnostics strategies for a dual clutch transmission: CAN-, TCU HW- and sensors & actuators diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, functional diagnostics.
  • You will be involved in the whole V-cycle: requirements definition (in alignment with the customer), architecture design (on an AUTOSAR platform), module design, implementation, verification and validation (unit testing, MIL/HIL testing, testbench and vehicle testing).
  • You will work on translating the requirements into a diagnostics concept (failure detection, failure reaction, failure storage, error handler, freeze frames, …).
  • You will be responsible for DIAG/OBD software configuration & delivering the required documentation (DTC number, PID/DID, FF signal list, troubleshooting document).
  • You’ll be involved in the alignments with customers & suppliers for transmission system OBD activities, diagnostics strategies and validation.
  • You’ll follow up and report about the status, issues and intermediate & permanent solutions.
  • You will be closely working with different internal stakeholders (system engineering team, controls module leads, BASE SW team, testing & application team). Required qualifications :
  • Master in the field of Automotive, Mechatronics, Systems, Controls or Electrical Engineering
  • Looking for both juniors profiles directly from university as for people with relevant experience.
  • You have a good awareness in one or more of these fields: diagnostics, electronics, control system strategy
  • You have experience and affinity with vehicle powertrains (transmissions/motors/engines)
  • You have experience with diagnostics development process, legal requirements and emission standards
  • You have knowledge of the Automotive design processes (e.g. FMEA, DVP, …)
  • Excellent knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
  • Basic knowledge about any requirements tools like DOORS/Polarion/ClearQuest
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and AUTOSAR standard
  • You have knowledge about UDS services (RC, WDBI & RDBI) & OBD standards
  • You have relevant experience with test bench setups and vehicle level testing
  • You proceed according to a good methodology in development and problem solving
  • You are well organized, you have strong analytical and communication skills
  • You are an excellent team player with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
