Our client specialise in emerging technologies.

Brief:
We are looking for a database developer for 3 to 6 months to take lead in data handling in the next generation of our app and to propose and deploy the appropriate DBMS solutions.
Our app is a Web App for the modelling of the environmental impact of Integrated Circuit chip manufacturing, developed by the client to assist the semiconductor industry reach its sustainability goals.
Join us and support this effort by bringing our Life Cycle Analysis software to a next maturity level with the deployment of a new data management system.

Assignment:
Our app is based on a backend Python code connected to a fronted Javascript code.
The API is deployed on Azure.
In the backend, the environmental impact of Si-chip manufacturing is quantified through a Life-Cycle-Analysis (LCA) of a high-volume semiconductor fab.
LCA requires the inventory of all semiconductor input and output flows.
This is a data-intensive task where good data collection and manipulation are crucial to guarantee the quality of the output result.
The management of this input and output data needs to be taken to the next level through the implementation of database functionalities that enable multi-user, user-friendly data handling by the colleagues collecting the data, efficient and evolutive data manipulation from the python code, while ensuring safe data storage and data security towards app users.
Other features that are necessary are a graphical user interface for data querying and amending, monitoring of the data variation over time through a versioning system, as well as data cleaning and deduplication.

Key Requirements:
Can demonstrate prior experience with application developments.
Knowledge of database implementation and maintenance is a must, python knowledge is a must.
Familiarity with other languages and application development tools is desirable.
Has good communication skills.
An excellent command of English is mandatory given the international character of the company
You are able to work according to agreed customer timelines and manage time efficiently according to aggressive project schedules.
Shows initiative and autonomy, while being part of a team.
