What You Can Expect

The newly formed Commercial Data & Insights team is responsible to establish and lead the EMEA commercial data strategy, to provide business with timely, impactful insights for strategic decision-making and monitoring of business performance. This team plays a critical role in the digital and data transformation of Zimmer Biomet, enhancing the way we do business internally, and with our customers.

This team is currently looking for a Data Analytics Lead, responsible to develop and manage data-driven business solutions for the EMEA commercial organization to increase commercial efficiency and effectiveness.

How You’ll Create Impact

Commercial Data Science

  • Lead a team of data scientists focused on top-and bottom-line growth, in line with EMEA business priorities

  • Build models for customer segmentation, customer targeting, opportunity pipeline prediction, lead scoring, business win-lose analysis, product portfolio planning, new product introduction performance and sales forecasting

  • Build models for ease of analyzing competitors’ data, market and business segment opportunities.

  • Build models for sales territory analysis to identify sales structure optimization opportunities

  • Build models for sales team master data and incentive payout data validation to ensure accuracy

  • Build models for to track business performance with maximum data and system automation.

  • Build models for to track commercial contractual commitment versus actual performance

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Working with IT, develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the EMEA Commercial Data & Insights team.

  • Define and align with the Business Units and Customer Excellence Function, on KPI’s for to regularly track on progress and performance

  • Collaborate with other Data & Insights team members, Finance, and IT to identify data sources and to validate data quality

  • Develop ad-hoc reports using Power BI and Salesforce.com to optimize business decision-making.

  • Create automated reporting slide decks for regular management reviews

Others

  • Work with Digital Transformation Lead & Product Owner within the Commercial Data & Insights team to develop data lake or the agility deployment of business applications and analytics solutions

Your Background

  • BSc or MSc holder in the field of business administrations, science, engineering, public health or a comparable education

  • Min 7 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Effectiveness or Consulting in healthcare, preferably Orthopedics, and min 2 years of experience leading data scientists or engineers.

  • Ability to deliver within sub-optimal situations, being practical to work with what is given whilst long term solutions are being developed

  • High interest and passion for data science and performance tracking/ consulting

  • Experienced with SQL, and Python for data science and engineering tasks.

  • Knowledge of digital systems such as PowerBI, SAP, Salesforce.com.

  • Experience in leading data lake development, deployment, enhancement projects from start to finish.

  • Analytical ability required to gather data, perform complex analysis, solve both business and technical problems

  • Ability to work on strategic projects in a matrixed environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required to work with a diverse group of people

  • Creativity, critical thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Has an entrepreneur mind-set and can balance multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly switch between priorities/tasks

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required
