ENGLISH VERSIONData Steward (Ref: MGMT 2024-17)The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Data Steward.ICIQ is one of the world’s internationally recognized leading institutions in the field of chemistry committed to solving major social and economic challenges by conducting top quality research in three main areas: Sustainable Catalysis, Renewable Energy and Health. • Final development of a data platform (basic version status) to enhance the upload of experimental research data to open repositories.
• Administration and automatization of the technological infrastructure of the platform, server management.
• Technical support to research groups in the definition of data management plans and datasets.
• Contribution to training actions and definition of specific documents and projects related to open science and data management.
• User support and software deployment to accomplish digitalization goals.

Requirements

• University Degree (Chemistry and/or Computer Engineering related degrees might be an advantage).
• Skills in computer science and programming languages Java and Spring Boot.
• Specific training in data management and open science and experience working with Git.
• Excellent communication (both oral and written) and networking skills.
• Advanced level of English, Spanish and Catalan is required.
• Team work skills.

Valued qualities and skills:

• Previous experience and training in Chemical Research Data Management.
• Additional knowledge on framework ZK, phyton, front end (Javascript, HTML, CSS) and Docker.
• Good knowledge of CERCA centres and the Catalan and Spanish research system.
• Proactive and enthusiastic personality.

• Desenvolupament final d’una plataforma de dades (estat de la versió bàsica) per a potenciar la càrrega de dades de recerca experimental en repositoris oberts.
• Administració i automatització de la infraestructura tecnològica de la plataforma, gestió de servidors.
• Suport tècnic a grups de recerca en la definició de plans de gestió de dades i conjunts de dades.
• Contribució a accions formatives, definició de documents i projectes específics relacionats amb la ciència oberta i la gestió de dades.
• Suport a usuaris i desplegament de programari per al compliment dels objectius de digitalització.

Requisits:

• Titulació universitària (es valorarà titulació relacionada amb Química i/o Enginyeria Informàtica).
• Coneixements d’informàtica i llenguatges de programació Java i Spring Boot.
• Formació específica en gestió de dades i ciència oberta i experiència treballant amb Git.
• Excel·lents habilitats de comunicació (tant oral com escrita) i de treball en xarxa.
• Nivell avançat d’anglès, castellà i català.
• Habilitats de treball en equip

Qualitats i habilitats valorades:

• Experiència i formació prèvia en Gestió de Dades de Recerca Química.
• Coneixements addicionals sobre framework ZK, phyton, front end (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) i Docker.
• Bon coneixement dels centres CERCA i del sistema de recerca català i espanyol.
• Personalitat proactiva i entusiasta.
