- Use Datadog’s proprietary data to conduct research as part of your PhD thesis
- Participate and contribute to knowledge sharing session with Datadog’s employees
- Publish articles throughout your studies in collaboration with Datadog
Research Area of Focus * Natural Language ProcessingNatural language processing research at Datadog focuses on algorithms at scale and across products. These algorithms are used multiple ways across our product and benefit our user experience through search, investigation tools and conversational bots and more. We are particularly interested in algorithms around query expansion and translation, semantic tasks, generative tasks and retrieval tasks.
- Autonomous decision making agents
Datadog is here to support and help its customers to reduce the time it takes to resolve incidents and outages. The creation of automated agents with the ability to reason and plan as a human being is key to continue our mission. We focus on algorithms that learn from existing examples but will also find new ways of solving problems when given more context.
- AI systems and infrastructure
This field is focused on how to leverage hardware such as GPUs, distributed computing, etc… to train and deploy large models in production with low latency and high concurrency.
- Time series & Anomaly detection
Anomaly detection and time series are the core of Datadog. With hundreds of metrics and petabytes of data coming to Datadog every day, we focus on leveraging state of the art forecasting models, anomaly detection algorithms and outlier detection to alert our customers through monitors, proactive alerts and custom features.
- Large Language Model & wider applications
Large Language Models are opening new doors when it comes to NLP tasks but we want to focus on how their generative power can extend to other machine learning fields such as time series, causal inference, anomaly detection and much more.
- Causal inference
Understanding correlation and causation is key to performing troubleshooting and investigation. We are looking to leverage state of the art causal inference models to make our user experience easier and resolve their problems faster.Who you are
- You have a Master degree with a focus on research/Data Science/AI
- Your PhD thesis aligned with at least one of the research areas of focus.
- You have experience in one or more the research area of focus
- You are planning to do a CIFRE thesis
- You are passionate about research and AI
- You possess the ability to elaborate complex models and ideas to non-technical personnel
