Ledger attaches great importance to the protection and security of personal data. In this role as a member of the DPO team, you are responsible for assisting your team in their compliance activities.

Your mission :

  • You participate in the monitoring of the compliance program of each group team and compliance actions (analysis of business constraints and risks, identification of measures to be taken, project monitoring, development of procedures, etc.).
  • You are responsible for processing requests from customers and employees concerning their personal data (access, deletion, rectification, etc.) and contribute to the improvement and automation of the procedure for managing these requests.
  • You contribute to the mapping of processing and data flows between the group’s internal systems and technical service providers, and you update the processing register. 
  • You participate in the negotiation of the personal data clauses of the contracts concluded by Ledger with its service providers, and in the periodic review of the compliance of these service providers.
  • You contribute to the follow-up of any ongoing litigation, the definition of the strategy and the management of relations with lawyers.
  • You are in charge of legal monitoring on current topics and writing internal communications (e.g., newsletters) for business teams. 
  • You answer more generally all the teams’ questions about personal data.
  • Depending on the needs, you might also provide support to members of the legal department on a wide range of subjects (trademark law, contract law, corporate law, etc.).

What we’re looking for :

  • Masters 2 Level – you have a specialization in personal data law or new technologies law and a first experience in a legal department or law firm in charge of personal data issues, or in a data protection authority.
  • You are extremely rigorous with a strong sense of organization and are able to lead multiple projects in parallel. 
  • You enjoy working in a team, you have excellent interpersonal skills and you are not afraid to get in touch with operational staff.
  • You have a fluent level of English allowing you to exchange daily with teams located internationally but also to work on contracts in English.
  • You are familiar with Google Workspace desktop software (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Knowledge in the field of blockchain and cryptos is appreciated but is not essential.
  • Contract type : Apprenticeship/ work-study contract
  • Duration : 12 months
  • Rhythm : 3 days in the company + 2 days at school
  • Starting month : September 2024 or even before
