Join us as a specialist to our team and make a significant impact in this essential area.Enterprise Data Management – we are taking data to the next levelJoining our transformation function at Hedehusene, you become a part of our Enterprise Data Management department. This relatively new team of 8 is essential to the digital transformation within DSV and our endeavour to become more data-driven.Together with key stakeholders, we steer the Enterprise Data agenda across the enterprise, bringing to the table our individual skills and area of expertise.“Each team member is responsible for their own area that covers one or more of the classical data management disciplines. But as a team, we have a common goal and everything intertwines, so we collaborate very closely and utilise each other’s strengths,”Set the direction for our Data Governance and Quality ManagementAs a Data Management Specialist you will be responsible for our data governance and data quality management framework.This means that you will ensure governance policies and set the standards for how we work with data and data quality. Just as you will be taking an active hand in ensuring that our framework is implemented as well as communicating the importance of data governance and educating our organisation on best practices for both areas.More specifically, you can look forward to:

• Setting up and facilitating all relevant processes to ensure key data governance activities, such as delegation of data ownership
• Fostering a collaborative environment in communities and forums you help establish
• Ensuring governance and quality monitoring activities across business and group functions as well as ensuring the utilisation of our metadata catalogue
• Increasing data governance and data quality awareness in the company
• Collaborating closely with the team’s Data Architecture Lead to align data governance strategies with data models and architectures
• Providing mentorship and guidance to the Data Governance team, fostering a culture of excellence

Experience with data governance and good communication skillsYou approach your work with a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical execution. Moreover, you will need to have a broad understanding of data, data governance, data quality management and its impact on business processes, as well as the ability to lead and drive transformation in this area.
Additionally, you need good communication and leadership skills to educate individuals at various levels about the concept of governance.

Also, we imagine that you:

• Have a degree in business, information management, computer science, or a related field
• Have working experience (atleast 4+ years) and a solid understanding of data governance principles, including extensive experience with setting up policies, standards, processes etc. for all of the data disciplines, i.e. data integration, data exchange and data security
• Have experience in data governance – perhaps from a background as a data owner, product owner or similar, having worked as part of a community or centre of excellence
• Having experience envisioning and implementing data quality frameworks including KPIs in a larger organisation setup
• Have good stakeholder management skills
• Speak and write English flawlessly
