As a Data Governance Specialist, you will contribute to shaping, implementing, and managing Data and Al policies that balance benefits and risks for responsible data use – in concert with a broad set of internal partners such as Data & Al customers, legal, data privacy, and compliance teams.You will employ a range of skills including policy expertise, project management, and change management – and you can support internal Al governance activities, including updating and deployment of Standard Operating Procedures.Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in developing strategic plans for a Data Governance Policy that underpin Novo Nordisk Development multi-functional strategy and business agenda
- Support the operationalization of a Data Governance infrastructure, ultimately empowering scientists to confidently leverage Data and AI to maximize value, while safeguarding legal, ethical, privacy and security aspects
- Lead collaboration and build ties with multiple internal and external stakeholders across the value chain to ensure Novo Nordisk is at the forefront of fit for purpose Data Governance set-up and paving the way externally for industry best practice
- Ensure a streamlined and scalable Data Governance setup which allows compliant access to data in a development context which meets business and compliance requirements
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- PhD, MD, MSc or BSc degree in a relevant field such as Life Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Business / Information Science or similar
- Leadership and project management experience in an international organisation
- 4 years of experience of data management and governance experience, ideally from a strategy or management consultancy or industrial company (life science / pharma would be an advantage)
- Solid understanding of global laws & regulations impacting Data Governance, regulatory processes and requirements
- Documented experience with working under quality requirements such as GxP/GDPR
As a professional, you have ability to effectively drive business, culture and technology change in a dynamic and complex operation environment.
