POSITION OVERVIEW
Mangabey is looking for a Data Engineer Associate to join our data engineering team as part of a 6-month internship program. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering while working on exciting projects in the healthcare industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with senior data engineers to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
- Assist in building and maintaining data storage solutions using database systems like SQL and NoSQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and quality
- Participate in data modeling and optimization activities to support data analysis and reporting
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
- Contribute to the documentation of data engineering processes and systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field*
- Strong programming skills ; Python is a must-have
- Basic understanding of database systems and data modeling concepts
- Knowledge of specific libraries or skills is a plus
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and data engineering practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
*The internship duration is 6 months. Must provide an internship agreement from the university.
