Senior Data Engineer – Contract Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join an exciting project focused on enhancing data accessibility and insights across multiple domains. If you’re highly skilled in API development, Python, and cloud-based data solutions, this is an excellent opportunity your expertise in a professional, collaborative environment.

Location: Hoboken, Belgium (2 days remote per week)
Contract: 3 months, with potential for extension
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and integrate data pipelines using REST APIs and Python.
* Design and implement scalable data solutions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
* Perform code reviews and contribute to high-quality, maintainable solutions.
* Optimise workflows through CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Kubernetes).
* Work with Databricks for data processing and analytics.

Your Profile

* 7+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in REST API design.
* Advanced knowledge of Python and software development best practices.
* Strong background in CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps) and Kubernetes (4+ years).
* Experience working with Databricks for data analytics and processing.
* Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a plus.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills with a structured, organised approach.
