Data Analyst – Transportation in Antwerp, Belgium

A Transportation Data Analyst monitors and analyzes transportation network performance, identifies opportunities and risks and provides recommendations for action plans to reduce associated risks and improve efficiencies.

Transportation is an essential and often critical component for the success of organization’s supply chain and the business as a whole, making the transportation data analyst an essential role. You will become part of the Transportation team in Benelux within the business unit Contract logistics. It’s a full time position, and applications are welcome from Belgium or Netherlands, as you can be based in one of those countries according to your preference.

• Design and implement methods to gather and manage transportation data;

• Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods;

• Review and analyze gathered data to locate gaps and opportunity areas in the transportation network and develop methods to improve;

• Monitor transportation spend and measure transportation providers performance and report to management;

• Support Logistics Engineers and Procurement teams with reporting and analytics, including tender and network design analysis;

• Build dashboards, presentations and reporting of transportation related activities, including monthly/quarterly BU reporting;

• Become a Leading user of the Company’s transportation management systems.

Jouw skills en ervaringen

• A completed HBO level/university level degree;

• You are experienced in analyzing and improving supply chain data, information and processes, including a good understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes;

• You have exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges that need to be addressed;

• You have excellent mathematical and analytical skills, meaning a working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools + ability to develop actionable insights from data;

• You have strong working experience with SQL, Power BI or Tableau or similar analytical tools;

• You are a self-driven, multi-tasker, with attention for details, motivated to make a quality impact within the scope of your function;

• Good verbal and written knowledge of English. Another EU language is a plus;

• Available for 32h minimum per week, preference is full time. You have around 3 years of relevant work experience.
