Job purpose: 

To develop, maintain and manage Internal Audit’s data analytics solutions; supporting and scaling their usage to empower audit teams throughout the group to provide more impactful and trusted audit insights, and thereby enhance IA’s global achievement of its mission. 

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop analytic scripts, dashboards and tools for use by the broader audit community, facilitating the completion of their audits on standardized datasets (procurement, finance, claims, etc.), proposing solutions and enhancements.
  • Develop and execute analytics/data science services, encompassing analysis of unstructured data (e.g., text mining, speech-to-text, computer vision), exploratory data analysis, outlier identification and process mining.
  • Maintain the global internal audit dashboards, used for monitoring and reporting activities, working with users for identifying and adding new functionalities.
  • Operate the global data solutions, facilitating user onboarding, service request, and incident resolution.

  • Recognised as a subject matter expert on the covered areas.
  • Seeks and acts on feedback regarding the impact of assets delivered and audits supported, which are positively recognised by relevant management.
  • Evidence of working proactively with the wider audit family on understanding their needs, leading to increased usage and impact of analytics during the audits.
  • Reliable and industrialised analytics assets.
  • Evidence own skills and competencies are developed.

Qualifications

Skills & Expertise Experience:

  • Some experience as a Data Analyst or equivalent
  • Expertise on Microsoft PowerBI (or equivalent “self-service” Business Intelligence Tool such as Tableau or Qlik) on the end-to-end process (data preparation, modelling, analysis, visualisation, reporting).
  • Expertise on Python (or other programming / scripting language for data handling and data science such as SAS or R)
  • Some experience on other Microsoft Power Platform services would be a plus (Fabric, Power Automate, Process Advisor, Power Apps, Power Agents)
  • Some experience in one or more of Financial Services, Insurance or Internal Audit/similar control function would be a plus.
  • Some experience in transformation / training / consulting activities would be a plus.
  • Some experience in data science would be a plus.
  • Language: clear written and spoken English.
