Dam Engineer – International Engineering ConsultancyCompany Description: EWI is working with leading international engineering firm specializing in water and energy sector, including Dams and Hydropower. Headquartered in Switzerland, and branch offices across Europe.Location Options: Switzerland, Italy or France.Job Description: As a Dam Engineer, your role will involve:

• Engaging in design activities for both embankment and concrete dams, from initial design phases to construction projects.
• Conducting dam safety assessment studies, with a focus on structural and stability analyses.
• Collaborating proactively with engineering and drafting teams.
• Undertaking short overseas missions to support site activities and attend meetings.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience on international projects.
• Expertise in conception, design, and construction oversight of embankment dams.
• Proficiency in static and dynamic analysis of embankment and concrete dams using Finite Element and Finite Difference software.
• Familiarity with International Standards and Guidelines for Dam Design, including USBR, USACE, FERC, and others.
• Experience as a Designer with EPC Contractors or under Red Book Contracts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; French, Italian, and German proficiency is advantageous.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to travel abroad for short assignments.
