DescriptionFor the IS (Information Systems) Department we are looking for a The Security Incident & Vulnerability Manager.
The IS Department provides and manage on a global scale a variety of IT services covering all IT layers: from network, server & cloud infrastructure, end user devices & Service Desk to best-in-class applications and data & digital solutions.The Security Incident & Vulnerability Manager reports to the Director of Security & Infrastructure Management, who in turn reports to the CIO.
He/she implements and manages our detective and responsive security controls to ensure resilient IT operations. He or she will determine how we gather relevant log data, manage a proactive vulnerability management process, ensure correlation of event log entries with vulnerability information into actionable IT security incidents, perform analysis of trends, develops and maintains incident response processes and procedures.
Primary Tasks and responsibilities:

  • The Security Incident & Vulnerability Manager will complement the IT security team at Umicore and has following tasks & responsibilities
  • Focus on the detective and responsive aspects of IT security.
  • Prioritize analysing what it will take to correctly and timely identify actionable IT security incidents.
  • This includes reviewing and implementing managed SIEM or managed SOC services.
  • Organize the vulnerability management process
  • Together with stakeholders he or she will ensure accurate and clear actionable reports on IT security vulnerabilities within Umicore.
  • Chase the system and application owners as needed to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Organize proper detection controls that correlate log information from various IT systems together with vulnerability information to detect anomalies.
  • A priority year 1 project will be to implement incident response processes and vulnerability management processes.

Technical Profile requirements

  • Bachelor or equal through experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 5 years experience with vulnerability management
  • Minimum 5 years experience with incident management
  • Minimum 5 years experience in IT security
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in international and global organizations
  • Very knowledgeable on IT technological trends
  • Expert in IT security (preferably certified, e.g. SANS certification)
  • Experience as Ethical hacker is an asset
  • Stress resistant, needs to remain calm in times of crisis
  • Willing to go the extra mile
