That means developing, delivering, and selling the state-of-the-art products and digital tools that make top performers even better.If you are a current Under Armour teammate, apply to this position on thePurpose of RoleThe Creative Director (CD), EMEA will drive senior and creative excellence for the region through brand consistency from Global to Region through visual, tonal, and content creation. The CD will drive the creative reputation of the Brand both internally and externally through consistently out-performing expectations with disruptive, contemporary, and effective creative solutions. The Creative Director is the standard bearer leading the team to new reputational heights, creating an environment that encourages risk, supports disruption of the status quo and advocates story-doing. This leadership footprint needs to be visible globally – with active, participatory relationships with internal and external creatives in America’s EMEA, and APAC.The CD will also be responsible for managing the relationship work and output of our regional network of agencies. Specifically, the CD will oversee the output of visual content creators and creatives across all media. They will provide support and guidance to the channel Marketing, ecomm and retail experience team in enhancing and improving performance. Additionally, the CD will partner with the corporate communication and go-to-market teams to ensure on-brand messaging and approach.The CD will also decide the team’s formation, ensuring we get the most out of the skills in the function. Momentum, positivity, and the courage it takes to consistently defy convention are the responsibilities of the CD as we look to build a motivated, relentless, and highly talented team.Your Impact

  • Full responsibility over Brand and Seasonal Creative in our DTC, wholesale and OMNI channels across the region
  • Utilize regional and global data to elevate consumer experiences through art and copy
  • Collaborate with global creative/marketing/ops teams to ensure regional creative/marketing/ops alignment
  • Work collaboratively with the VP, Creative Global, Senior Director, Marketing EMEA, agency partners, external resources, copy, category partners to produce brand relevant designs and consumer experiences that reflect and elevate brand’s DNA and standards
  • Lead regional teams and influence global team on brand creative excellence and current/future design trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts, with MFA a plus
  • Must have 10+ years as part of an agency/in-house creative team
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant Graphic Design, Copy Writing, and/or Art Direction experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a multi-disciplinary team, such as edit, copy, content creation
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering compelling creative pitches, effectively selling ideas to executives and stakeholders, with a proven winning track record
  • Extensive experience in direct collaboration and communication with Regional Marketing partners, as well as internal and external Executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging creative technology and innovation to consistently deliver groundbreaking achievements including experience with emerging technologies
  • Expert in crafting compelling narratives across editorial and social platforms, showcasing a talent for engaging storytelling
  • Showcases effective creative writing skills, seamlessly applying them to craft engaging storytelling across various multimedia platforms with precision and impact
  • Proven leadership in delivering award-winning initiatives acclaimed within both the Creative and Sports Industry realms
  • Proven experience in leading and directing agencies, adeptly negotiating creative solutions to align with Brand Voice, Identity, and Strategy objectives
  • Creatively directs, leads, and oversees work within cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless alignment with established objectives and standards
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience within the EMEA region with deep understanding of the local markets and consumer
  • Possesses a presentation and communication style characterized by clarity, conciseness, and thoughtfulness, with the capability to effectively convey new insights to both small and large groups
  • Enable and ensure creative teams develop a deep understanding of consumer needs, behaviors, and motivations across different categories, occasions, and channels
  • Proficient in both writing and interpreting creative briefs, ensuring clear communication and alignment of creative vision
  • Demonstrates thoughtful and considerate leadership skills, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment
  • Clearly articulate the creative standards and objectives to ensure universal understanding among all team members
  • Master of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient skills in Keynote, PPT, or related presentation platform

Workplace Location

  • Location: Amsterdam
  • Return To Work Designation: Hybrid work from home, with a minimum of 2 – 3 days in the office
  • Travel: Frequent travel in market for creation/production, account visits, and brand activations.
