You will join a global team of Crane Engineers and be involved in defining our specifications and contributing to defining the Service Crane inside the turbine for future generations of wind turbines. Service crane systems are a vital part of wind turbines to ensure safe and efficient maintenance. You will keep up with the turbines steady increase in size, weight and the exciting challenges as a result of this.You will provide valuable specialist knowledge and support across the entire organization to functions like Procurement, Supplier Quality, Production and to crane suppliers. You will therefore have a broad range of responsibilities, including and not limited to:Defining Service Crane design requirements to fulfill turbine requirementsSpecifying and maintaining technical specifications for crane systemsEnsure that design meets criteria for static and dynamic loads, cost, quality, ease of assembly, serviceability and EHS.Review and creation of product documentation prepared internally and by crane suppliers to ensure compliance with internal procedures and CE marking requirementsParticipate in test and validation activitiesClose collaboration with crane suppliers and internal stakeholders like Project organization, Service and EHSTechnical sparring during supplier developmentTaking part in supplier evaluation and selectionSharing knowledge and new learnings with rest of the Technology R&D organizationWhat you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…A candidate with a bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or corresponding professional experienceSeveral years of relevant work experience within mechanical design – preferably from the wind industry or alternatively from the loader crane industryExperience with the machinery directive 2006/42/EC and with relevant technical standards such as EN Eurocodes, EN13001 and EN12999Knowledge in project management will be an advantage
