The Telecom, Media and Technology & Healthcare sector team offers an exciting position in Amsterdam for an ambitious professional who enjoys working in an international environment. The TMT & Healthcare sector team is one of the global specialist sector coverage teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking. We provide banking services and complex financial solutions to telecommunication, media, entertainment, technology, satellite, healthcare and pharmaceutical companies globally. As a coverage banker based in Amsterdam, you will play a key role in managing our relationships with international corporate clients in NL as well as by functioning as a sector expert for the international network. Your focus area will be the technology sub-sector, and we expect you to contribute to developing this increasingly important business area, for example in the semi-conductor space.Job description:You will be responsible for client relationship management for all clients allocated to you and for supporting the international network with sector expertise. You will manage deal flow and will lead teams involved in transactions which have a large impact on our clients. You work closely together with team members in other locations, and with various product specialists and local relationship managers across ING. In all your activities you will strive to meet client needs in the best way and beyond. As a coverage banker in the TMT & Healthcare sector team your job is hugely diverse, but your main tasks consist of:Building client relations and maintaining continuous dialogue with TMT industry leaders and sector participantsDevelop sector knowledges and industry expertise, taking the lead for certain sub-sector assigned to youDriving the strategic dialogue with clients, and discuss beyond-banking initiativesMaintaining active contacts with other departments/disciplines within ING such as Corporate Finance, Lending, Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Transaction Services and Risk ManagementPro-actively generating opportunities and transactions, contributing to the origination efforts of the team and of local relationship managers by driving sector analyses, presentations, and pitch books. Taking the lead in responding to RfP’sOriginating flow business & deal opportunities, and safeguarding timely delivery of high-quality and seamless customer due diligence & transaction executionStructuring deals and overseeing the negotiating of transactions in which ING acts as lead arrangerGuiding team members and Lending bankers on financial models, credit analyses, rating profiles and peer group analysis and managing credit applicationsAssessing and reviewing industry reports and due diligence on clients in a dynamic sectorDirecting balance sheet distribution and the syndication or co-ordination of transactionsGuiding, training and supervising VP’s, Associates and Analysts in the teamDriving and monitoring portfolio management and KYC activities of team members for your clientsYour work environment:You will be a member of a successful and highly driven team, working in a dynamic environment with interesting clients and on challenging and prominent transactions. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experienceRelationship-driven, people-oriented, finds it easy to make connectionsEntrepreneurial mindset and commercial acumen, with a thorough grasp of credit risk and ability to build relationships with ING clients and industry professionalsStrong connector, communicator and a highly effective team playerA pro-active professional with a strong personal drive and a high level of self-motivationKnowledge and understanding of ING’s Wholesale Banking product suite, competitive positioning and appetiteAffinity with the sector, and preferably prior experience with, or in, the technology industryStrong project & time management skills.
