As Country Head for our Laboratory Solution (LS) Customer Service Business (CS), you will be responsible for ensuring best in class, customer focused, industry leading LS service within Belgium and collaborate with the Country Business Lead and Managers to win and execute new projects. You act as a leader when driving our business, our CS LS strategy and when supporting local managers within Belgium to achieve financial, operational and employees satisfaction targets.

In this role you will have the responsibility to define and deliver upon financial and operational targets, ensuring that they are achieved by the CS LS colleagues in the country. As the CS LS Head for the Country, you will report and interact with South West Europe (SWE) CS LS Head to track on status, discuss new strategies and being an active member of the management team. A key focus area that you will be responsible for is change management, and you will have to find best practices and implement those that apply in Belgium.Responsibilities:
  • Ensure industry leading Customer Satisfaction.
  • Create a working environment in which people express at their best, nurture and growth talents.
  • Set financial and operational targets for Belgium in alignment with SWE CS LS Head.
  • Represent CS LS Belgium towards SWE CS LS Management and Headquarter.
  • Track progress on targets and report to SWE and EMEA management.
  • Lead and coach CS LS country managers.
  • Support the country business management to achieve commercial success and participate in the Belgium DX management as representative for Customer Service.
  • To coordinate and select Headquarter and country-specific improvement initiatives with necessary input from Zone Management

Key strategic priorities

  • Implement transformation initiatives, e.g. establish proactive monitoring of our installed systems, evaluate external partner strategies for CS, implement new Project Management tools to drive productivity and hence profitability for LS in the country.
  • In case of performance issues that cause customer dissatisfaction, you will support the country organizations in escalating the issue and ensure that it gets proper attention at headquarter and that a solution is found.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and work with CS LS managers to define improvement initiatives where needed.
  • Focus on initiatives and changes in the country that improve the Service KPIs.
  • Strategic Headcount planning for the country in alignment with the countries and according to the business needs.

Your profile:

  • Leadership experience within Customer facing organizations.
  • Familiarity with financial targets.
  • Preferably knowledge about laboratory diagnostic, but this is not a requirement.
  • Experience from an international organization/matrixed organization would be an advantage.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team-player in highly diverse teams.
  • Ability to make decisions and implement necessary action plans.
  • Social intelligence and can do attitude.
