Your key responsibilities
To run the cost calculation process for our 2 production sites (Londerzeel & Moeskroen) and our main trade partners such as Poland, UK and Denmark, making accurate price quotes with clear communication of assumptions, in a timely and correct way, giving the necessary input to the commercial team
To consequently update the necessary inputs (like standard cost prices, intercompany prices, conversion cost breakdowns, storage rates, …) in all relevant systems (ERP and BI)
To calculate the financial impact of operational changes (cfr. evolutions in raw material prices, the overall operational performance and capacity planning) on our initial assumptions and to proactively communicate your findings to the different stakeholders, with a critical mindset making sure we have a balanced cost price, considering potential conflict of interests.
To update by Tertial the full set of cost of goods sold, in line with the methodology, and communicate within the deadlines towards the different stakeholders such as management, sales & marketing and finance. Analyze and give transparency on the impact by business segment and by product category.
To apply the cost price methodology according to corporate guidelines, whilst exploring ways to increase efficiency and implementing the necessary changes in the different systems and databases
To forward the necessary information to the accounting department to assure that the operational financial numbers are always accurate and transparent.
You will support the Business Operations Controllers by
preparing financial information regarding forecasting, budget and monthly performance reporting.
preparing the cost model and offering a clear view on conversion cost evolutions.
analyzing monthly variances and bringing the plant performance transparent
comparing actuals versus budget/forecast figures
Skills & Requirements
Your profile
You hold a Master’s degree in Finance (Commercial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, etc.)
You have minimum 3 years of work experience in cost and project accounting
Experience within a Manufacturing environment is recommended
Profound knowledge of MS Office tools – especially Excel and PowerPoint – and affinity for new software systems
Proficient language skills in Dutch and English; knowledge of any other language is a clear asset
Ideally you also master the following competences
You have profound analytical skills; you are methodical in your approach and have an eye for detail which allows you to deep dive into analysis.
You are a client- and service-oriented person who delivers qualitative work in a timely manner.
You are well-organized and can handle tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work.
You are a self-starter who’s motivated to look for efficiencies and you show flexibility to shift between priorities when needed.
You are an enthusiast team player with a responsible attitude.
Thanks to your excellent communication skills you can build your internal network and keep your stakeholders involved.
You show eagerness to learn and develop yourself.
You have a genuine interest in operations, and at the same time act as an independent within the production area to maintain our financial/control processes to achieve both internal and external audit compliance.
Place of work: Londerzeel whilst we also offer the possibility of home-working for 1-2 days per week
