And our way of working smarter.Mission:As part of our Corporate Strategy Team, you act as an internal consultant to support top management in decisions and projects that are most critical to the value of the company. You also lead specific projects supporting the definition and execution of the strategy (e.g., market assessment, competitive analysis, strategic files, integration or disposal of assets, etc.).Your work will span the entire scope of activities of the Proximus Group and will be highly transversal, requiring you to bring a helicopter view and balance group-level trade-offs across divisions.Your role will involve shaping the strategy of the Proximus group to maintain and strengthen its leading position.Job content:

  • You report to the Group Strategy & CMI Lead, as part of the Group Strategy & CMI division.
  • You mobilize and lead cross-functional project teams to provide answers to complex strategic questions.
  • You participate in the development, communication, and execution of our annual strategic planning exercises. You ensure an inclusive process and close collaboration with the various business units.
  • You support in the presentation and cascading of our strategy so that all employees, partners, contractors, etc. understand the corporate strategic plan and how it carries out the company’s overall goals.
  • You collaborate across all business units and functions to ensure business unit strategic projects reflect company-wide strategic priorities. You work with the owners of the must-win battles to ensure proper resources allocation and consistent execution.
  • As trusted advisor, you contribute to the development of an insights-driven, analytical culture in the company.
  • You provide thought leadership, and contribute to expanding the knowledge base within Group Strategy & CMI, including new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.
  • You study the industry trends and market dynamics. You think in scenarios and see patterns in complex situations. You are constantly looking for best practices in other countries and industries.

  • Main internal stakeholders: ExCo Level, Directors, Middle Management.
  • Main external stakeholders: Partners, Vendors, Policy makers.

  • You communicate effectively, orally and in writing. You have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You understand the underlying forces and what motivates stakeholders. You understand the importance of the human factor in strategy execution.
  • You master corporate and business strategy concepts.
  • You work effectively in project teams with a wide variety of backgrounds and know how to lead them to success. You have superior group facilitation, interviewing, and influencing skills.
  • You work autonomously within set objectives, while being at ease multitasking in a fast paced environment.
  • You are result-oriented, bold and courageous without being pushy or arrogant. You have a track record of successful projects.
  • You are passionate about the challenges and opportunities brought by technology and innovation. You like to challenge the status quo and common beliefs.

Education and experience required:

  • Business Administration or engineering degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a top tier strategic consulting firm or demonstrable equivalent
  • Qualified experience in the TMT sector or industries facing similar challenges
  • Exposure with impact to the highest level of decision makers (ExCo and Board)
  • Fluent in English with at least a working knowledge of French and Dutch
