Job Overview 

The Corporate Services Finance Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial operations of CV Europe. This includes supporting the maintenance of financial systems and governance across the European region.  

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Support region-based operations in compliance with CV policies and procedures to govern budget control and financial reporting. 

  • Support with accounting, including bank reconciliations and foreign currencies for the regional office. 

  • Support with periodic financial reviews, funding requests and team budget preparation. 

  • Support with Property Investment related transactions. 

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of the VAT reports and payments. 

  • Research and evaluate service provider options and costs as needed.  

  • Collate and review financial information and expense reports for projects and/or managers/directors.  

  • Coordinate details on the asset register, taking responsibility for accounts payable and credit registers for all in-region operations. 

  • Support in training the wider European team from various countries (across the various languages of the region) related to the operation of administrative and financial tools and systems.  

  • Assist and support the broader team with NetSuite (our ERP system), including journal entries, intercompany transactions, and general NetSuite inquiries. 

  • Assist Budget Holders in preparing budgets for the upcoming financial year. 

  • Support the preparation of statutory annual accounts for Audits and Charity Commission filings. 

  • Liaise with IM Group, in relation to Company Car Scheme, Investment Properties and general financial transactions. 

  • Liaise with other vendors related to financial transactions.  

General Responsibilities 

Fulfil other duties, as common to all employees and as directed, within parameters outlined in both the mission and vision statements. This includes:

Education and Experience 

  • Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken.  

  • GSCE Grade 4-9 in Maths and English language, essential 

  • Completion of a Level 4 qualification in AAT, CIMA or ACCA, essential. 

  • Proven experience in financial management within a European context, with knowledge of local regulations, accounting standards, and business practices. 

  • Experience working in multi-cultural teams with internationally based organisations, an advantage.  

  • Familiarity with tax, accounting and reporting requirements, an advantage.
