Ready to #setthetone with Believe?Job DescriptionJob SummaryUnder the responsibility of the VP M&A and with a “dotted line” relationship with the Group Chief Legal Officer, the Catalog Acquisition Lawyer will be responsible for all legal issues related to Believe’s catalog acquisitions.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal support throughout the catalog acquisition process
  • Coordinate and oversee the conduct of the legal due diligence process, with a strong focus on intellectual (IP) and content rights issues
  • Assist in the drafting, negotiations and review of all types of contracts and documents related to catalog acquisitions (purchase agreement, non-binding offers, confidentiality agreements, IP-related representations and warranties, etc.)
  • Assistance in closing and post-closing management such as warranty claims, M&A litigation, etc.
  • Collaborate with various business and cross-functional teams to ensure thorough evaluation and execution of transactions

Qualifications

  • Strong academic legal background (Master’s degree, completion of CAPA preferred), you have in-depth knowledge of business law, particularly – in IP – M&A expertise is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within law firms and/or as in-house counsel, with a proven track record of IP/content rights-related transactions. Experience in the music industry and on M&A transactions are a strong plus.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English required
