We have a new opportunity to join our service as a Cardiographer on a fixed term contract, this is a patient facing role. You will be responsible for communicating between various teams to ensure we are delivering a seamless service to our patients! With the relevant training you will be performing a range of cardiology investigations, including 12-lead ECG, fitting and removing ambulatory ECG and Blood pressure monitors and home blood pressure monitors which involves sending reports on to clinicians.

Our services include diagnostic, acute and virtual services – all of which are designed and delivered by senior NHS consultants and operational staff who ensure that national clinical guidelines and operational best practice guidance are met

Everyday you will…

  • Perform 12-lead ECGs to Society of Cardiological Science and Technology (SCST) standards, Fit and remove ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitors and to upload and download results
  • Receive and download patch monitors, clean and decontaminate and prepare for next use and also sending out monitors/patches to patients.
  • Be a first point of contact for telephone support to patients with any monitor queries/concerns
  • Ensure that your practice is patient centered and that a high quality of care is provided, adhering to infection prevention and control (IP&C) standards at all times
  • Assist with clinical audit and ensure any incidents and complaints are reported in a timely manner

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have…

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience of working with patients in a healthcare environment
  • Basic awareness of infection control and clinical governance protocols
  • Basic IT skills with a willingness to learn hospital administration systems
