Coesia has operating units in 36 countries, a turnover of 2,015 million euros in 2022 and over 8,000 employees.About the RoleAbout the RoleThe Controls Engineer collaborates with various engineers as required to design electrical controls based on certain projects specifications. You will be responsible for developing electrical BOM’s, drawings and machine programming.In this role you will be responsible for:

• Developing HMI solutions that create a user-friendly look and feel
• Assist in the testing and start-up of new equipment.
• Electronically design detailed drawings such as wiring diagrams, panel layout drawings, cable routing and charts and electrical component lines
• Know and keep up to date with applicable regulations, related codes and standards.

What You Need to Be SuccessfulWhat you need to be successful

• Requires a BS degree in computer or electrical engineering or a BS degree in relevant technical discipline with equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a control engineering role.
• Understands the design concept and theory of operation of various machine product lines and variables that can be introduced by product variations, collation, and transfer systems.
• Experience with creating electrical schematics. AutoCAD Electrical software experience is a plus.
• Strong experience with HMI programming. Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View Studio. Copadata Zenon is a plus.
• Strong experience with programming PLC and servo controls. Allen Bradley Studio5000. Beckhoff TwinCAT is a plus.
• Working knowledge of automation and packaging machinery.
• Knowledge of industrial networks such as Ethernet IP.
• Has strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills to promote the team concept required for quality order execution.
• Willingness to travel domestic or international to support project needs on a low to moderate basis.
• Willingness to work overtime to support project needs on a low to moderate basis.
