Location(s): NL,GE and UK. Main focus will be NLFulltime, PermanentFunctional Area: GasAs a Control & Instrumentation Engineer (C&I) within the Gas Engineering and Outage (E&O) unit, you are part of a dynamic team, that contributes with the reliable and permanent energy supply of our Gas Power Plants contingent in Europe.You take the lead for technical planning, conceptual design and delivery of projects (including overhauls and modifications) of control and instrumentation systems. So you establish where appropriate, research & development requirements, safeguard long term integrity of installations and optimize day to day operations in collaboration with other E&O experts, local O&M team and Technical Asset Lead.Your future plans

  • Developing, performing and executing projects and outages in gas power plants on control and instrumentation systems
  • Basic and detail planning for selecting, modifying and upgrading control systems (DCS/PLC), field instruments (pressure, flow, level and temperature), analyzers, etc
  • Removing of operational errors and clarifying the causes for failure on electrical systems supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Evaluating and modernizing C&I systems from the technical and economical point of view
  • Assisting in planning of budgets and tracking costs
  • Developing and implementing long-term maintenance strategies for C&I systems
  • Elaborating work instructions and managing C&I contractors
  • Contributes to the exchange of experience across RWE Generation’s technology clusters

Your powerful skills

  • Technical academic degree in automation / instrumentation engineering or comparable
  • Several years professional experience in C&I engineering and project execution in the energy sector
  • Good knowledge and experience of C&I systems in power stations
  • Strong communication skills and safe behaviour at all levels
  • Enthusiasm, assertiveness and decision-making power
  • High level of self-motivation and teamwork mindset
  • Business fluent in Dutch and English languages
