This new full-time post is available from 23 October 2024 on a permanent basis.This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.The roleWe are seeking a full time Contracts Adviser to work in the Legal team based within the University Corporate Services. Although experience with contractual matters is beneficial no prior experience in Education or Higher Education is required, as full training on HE and the relevant legal environment will be given as part of the induction to the role.We wish to recruit an experienced, organised and enthusiastic paralegal with an eye for detail to provide support on Education Contracts. The primary purpose of the role is to work within the Education Contracts Team, providing support to the Education Contracts Officer and the Commercial Education Contracts Officer, as required. This post will involve working with the other Education Contracts Advisor to be the primary point of contact for the Education contracts inbox, and will manage enquires from students who require Non-Disclosure Agreements or Data Transfer Agreements to support their placements and projects. The Education Contracts Advisor will also provide advice to the Study Abroad Team and Placements Teams on amendments to the University’s standard contractual documents, and support those Teams as they negotiate with partners.The post holder will also support the Education Contracts Officer and the Commercial Education Contracts Officer, in their work drafting and negotiating across a wide range of education contracts including with International Partners, Degree Apprenticeship Employers and Commercial Parties funding studentships.
