Kuehne+Nagel has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Logistics Capacity Team Leader in Tessenderlo.
Your Role
The role of capacity teamleader within logistics is a dynamic role which includes wearing multiple hats: you ensure excellent functioning of the quality and stock activities one moment and the focus on capacity planning the next. You will lead a team of about 8 people (2 direct reports).
Your Responsibilities
Ensure your team is delivering according to the internal and external KPI’s (SQCDEP) and coach your direct reports in the day-to-day management of capacity planning and quality & stock activities.
You personally drive them towards achieving long-term objectives and act as the ultimate responsible authority for your team. This involves setting clear objectives, daily communication, evaluations and training.
Collaborate with operations and admin teams to align capacity with demand fluctuations and achieve excellent quality and stock rates.
Be part of a motivated team with a continuous improvement culture. After completing your yellow belt training, you’ll lead and implement improvement projects.
Participate in strategic planning discussions related to expansion and optimization.
Ensure a consistent communication flow with the internal teams and customer.
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of leadershipexperience in Logistics and/or capacity planning.
High degree of organizational, administrative,communication and leadership skills, self-motivation and solution driven.
With your managerial experience, you know how to form and motivate a team to work toward a common goal. You can adapt to different situations and colleagues, and you’re open to changing your approach if needed.
Additionally, you are proficient in creating reports in Excel, handling warehouse management systems, and working with MS Office applications.
Able to work independently and within a team
Capable of working in a demanding,deadline-driven environment with competing priorities and a focus ondelivering results.
Goodinterpersonal and strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellentskills in MS Office
Language skills: English (Dutch)
