Kuehne+Nagel has an exciting opportunity for a Stock & Quality Supervisor in Tessenderloo.
Your Role
You ensure excellent functioning of the stock & quality activities, and you focus on strengthening all logistics processes related to them.
As a Supervisor Stock & Quality in a brand-new warehouse you will be part of the team building the foundation for future operations (BAU). After completing the necessary trainings, you will be in charge of at least 6 stock employees in the warehouse. You will be, together with the team of quality & stock employees the extra pair of eyes in order to have an excellent service towards the customer.
Your Responsibilities
As a supervisor, you are responsible for managing internal and external KPIs (SQCDEP). You will be directing your team of warehouse quality employees in the day-to-day management of stock and quality activities, ensuring that they achieve the predefined goals.
You motivate the team towards achieving long-term objectives and act as the ultimate responsible authority for your team of warehouse employees. This involves setting clear objectives, daily communication, evaluations and trainings.
To achieve these goals, you collaborate with the planning department, fellow supervisors, operations managers, and various internal support services.
You’ll be part of a motivated team with a continuous improvement culture. After completing your yellow belt training, you’ll lead and implement improvement projects and apply the 5S methodology.
Additionally, you’ll ensure compliance with safety rules through regular safety inspections, accident analyses, and safety communication. All of this aims to encourage our employees to actively contribute to a strong safety policy.
Your Skills and Experiences
You are a strong leadership figure who translates operational KPIs into an efficient approach on the floor and ensures its implementation.
With your managerial experience, you know how to form and motivate a team to work toward a common goal. You can adapt to different situations and colleagues, and you’re open to changing your approach if needed.
Additionally, you are proficient in creating reports in Excel, handling warehouse management systems, and working with MS Office applications.
Your characteristics include drive, independence, and a problem-solving mindset.
