As the first Consumer Data Strategy Manager within Reckitt’s Marketing Excellence Data Driven Marketing and Media team, you’ll be constantly breaking new grounds.We are establishing a new marketing operating model, fuelled by the right people, technology and data initiatives, and are looking for a consumer data expert who is passionate about enhancing our consumers’ experience and think out of the box, without foregoing commercial acumen across all initiatives.About the roleAs our digital maturity evolves, so does the way we speak to our consumers and build our audiences in the digital eco-system. The direction of travel is greatly shaped by consumer demand for control over their digital footprint, regulatory bodies and technology companies, and the right person will have strong expertise and a point of view of how this space will evolve, which they will use to steer the consumer data program in the right direction.The global teams are responsible for building capabilities and help markets embed these within their operating models, both internal and with agencies. The Consumer Data Strategy Manager will work closely with our top brands to define what data they need to fuel their campaigns and reach their strategic segments (on a global level), how to access it/ create it, and how to operationalise the program in a way that it is easier, cheaper and faster for markets to execute.
This will require strong partnership with the brands’ Comms Strategists, CDO, IT&D and buying teams.A strong knowledge of ad technology and data/ identity landscape is required, and we want to you to be passionate about transformation.Your responsibilities

  • Support our key brands in creating their Consumer Data Strategies: this includes defining their data needs in conjunction with Comms Strategy and CDO, advising on what data should be owned or accessed in the digital eco-system, support the ideation of value exchanges which promote the creation of the data we need, accurately and at the right scale. Support with operationalisation of the program to be execute by markets and set up the right governance mechanisms to track adoption and scale best practices.
  • Ensure strategic requirements are reflected into Reckitt Martech stack selection and configuration: ease the fulfilment of the brand strategies by making it easier for markets to collect the right data through standardisation of data attributes, data sources, identification of accurate records etc.
  • Champion Responsible Consumer Data Practices: We take our responsibility for consumers’ data seriously. Our Responsible Consumer Data Principles set out our ethical standards for how we want to go above and beyond laws and regulations requirements. As our Consumer Data Strategy Manager you’ll be responsible for leading the initiatives brought by this program.

There is a level of flexibilities in responsibilities as our maturity increases and we evolve the op model, and expect for the person in role to help us define how to role evolves.The experience we’re looking for

  • Passion for data and consumer experience
  • Strong understanding of the forces driving the changes to digital privacy
  • Strong knowledge of consumer data marketplace and identity resolution vendors
  • A rich background in data-driven marketing strategies and media planning.
  • Highly proficient in ad tech and marketing automation systems. You don’t just know how to use them, you know how to get the best out of them.
  • Strong analytical mindset, adept at transforming data into compelling marketing strategies.
  • Dynamic communicator, capable of fostering collaboration and building stakeholder relationships.
  • Agile and proactive, with a talent for simultaneously managing multiple projects in a lively environment.
  • Openness to adapt swiftly to evolving business needs and industry innovations
  • A natural solution seeker: as we break new grounds we are likely to find new barriers. Natural curiosity and proactiveness in finding solutions are key personality traits for this role.
  • Not scared by change. Working in uncharted territory means that sometimes you’ll need to course correct mid-way. A positive attitude and grit will go a long way.
  • Able to build strong relationships with the rest of the business (despite the geographical constraints)
  • Commercially minded and able to get out of the media/ marketing mindset to speak the language of the wider business.
  • Excited to understand how media operations are run in different corners of the world. Note that this role involves international travel.
