Our professionals support clients across all industries to achieve robust financial as well as non-financial risk management frameworks that satisfy compliance demands, contribute to better decision making and enhance results.Your solid skills will be highly valued and will place you at the centre of a first-class environment, where you will be able to contribute first hand to the success of our clients and to your own professional growth.Through challenging projects you will gain a deep and specialized experience across all aspects of financial services industry.As part of KPMG Non-Financial Risk Competence Team in Milan – a highly renowned team within financial sector – you will be accountable for organizational and methodological issues within complex Risk Management projects following both regulatory and managerial goals.In particular, you will:

  • Implement and review governance models and processes for operational, reputational and other non-financial risks (e.g. ICT, cyber, third parties risks)
  • Design, review and assist to the execution of standard operational and reputational risk management identification and evaluation processes (data collection, risk self assessment, scenario analysis, Key Risk Indicators)
  • Implement Risk Appetite Framework metrics, reporting systems and mitigation processes for non-financial risks (NFR)
  • Design processes for embedding operational risk data and metrics into business as usual activities
  • Design and implement processes and methodologies to embed the management of emerging and specific non-financial risks (e.g. business continuity, outsourcing, …) as well as ESG risks into existing NFR frameworks (e.g. operational / reputational / outsourcing risk management)
  • Perform risk and scenario analysis on specific non-financial risks domains or firm’s activities
  • Perform stress test analysis from both managerial and regulatory perspectives
  • Embed the internal control system outcomes into the Operational Risk Management Frameworks, including performing deep dive analysis on specific processes to assess risk profile and level of controls
  • Collaborate with ICT & Cyber Risk specialists to integrate such risks framework with the overall Operational Risk Management System
  • Scout and create business case for the application of Artificial Intelligence for a more effective management of non-financial risks
  • Figure out how to align and adjust existing risk management frameworks into a comprehensive operational resilience model, including implementation of DORA regulations
  • Collaborate with the Analytical Team to develop cutting-edge solutions for measuring NFR

To be the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Knowledge, experience and passion about the analysis of financial institutions’ processes and Internal Control Systems
  • Analytical mindset applied to the study of firm’s processes, designing of methodologies and review of data, especially adopting risk management lens
  • Technical skills to apply in a non-conventional way. Be smart and curious, properly weighting previous experiences and innovative views
  • Passionate in liaising with business stakeholders in order to execute methodologies for risk analysis, including the ability to manage workshop for risk discussion
  • Knowledge about the main regulations for non financial risks (e.g. Basel 2/3, EBA Outsourcing guidelines, ECB’s recommendations on ESG risks, DORA, …) and standard components of NFR framework (e.g. operational / reputational or integrated risk assessment, analysis of internal control systems, collection of data on operational events or IT incidents)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Preferably, Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics or Finance
