Zero Waste Scotland is recruiting a Recycling Consultant within its Operations & People
Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our work focused on improving
Scotland’s recycling performance.

This role will support delivery of our ambitious recycling programme, which seeks to transform
the way that waste and recycling is collected and managed across Scotland’s households and
businesses. Drawing expertise from a team of resource management professionals, the team is at
the forefront of Scotland’s move towards becoming a leader in the management of resources.

We want you if;

You have a good understanding of current and future legislative and policy drivers in relation
to waste & resource management in Scotland. You should also have excellent communication
and interpersonal skills with the ability to form excellent working relationships with
colleagues and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing; 

You’ll collaborate with consultants and recycling partners to manage technical
projects, supporting key stakeholders such as local authorities. Developing impactful projects
for funding through the Recycling Improvement Fund, promoting the Household Recycling Charter
and supporting the development of new national initiatives.

required to attend our Stirling office or a client location (normally within the Central Belt
of Scotland) therefore applicants should live within a comfortable distance to commute easily
to Stirling. The office is located next to the railway station and is conveniently accessed
from across central Scotland.
