A second tumour site will be agreed in conjunction with the successful candidate (Head & Neck, Lower GI or Breast).The successful candidate will need to demonstrate professional excellence and the ability to deliver effective care. Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesThe post holder will work with Dr Rachel Lewis and Dr Hamoun Rozati to provide the Neuro-Oncology service for patients in North East London and in Essex.The post holder will also cover another tumour site (head and neck, breast, lower GI) to be agreed with the Clinical Director.The service covers East London with referrals from Whipps Cross, Homerton and Newham Hospitals with non-surgical care of patients shared with medical oncology colleagues.It is expected that the post holder will actively participate in recruitment to and development of research studies related to their clinical interestsTo provide, with colleagues, clinical care and supervision of patients attending the Paget Oncology Chemotherapy Day Unit.To provide, with colleagues, care for patients attending the radiotherapy department and to advise and treat patients with oncological emergencies from Barts Health NHS Trust and also Homerton NHS Foundation Trust.The post holder will contribute to the training and education of oncology trainees and also undergraduates and non-medical personnel.Person specificationQualificationsEssential criteriaDesirable criteria
