Exciting and ambitious projects for Spanish and International clients are waiting for you!We are currently looking for a Construction/Site Manager based in Mallorca (Spain) for a hospitality project. In principle, 3 days per week involved in the project, but prepared to consider fulltime as well.

  • Full time site manager on site to monitor progress and quality.
  • Assume single point of contact responsibility on site for each project with all stakeholders.
  • Define project critical success factors with the project’s development manager.
  • Drive critical path (including planning and permitting activities) and manage consulting team to ensure project success.
  • Manage project risk register.
  • Manage all project change.
  • Manage and report on the project budgets/costs.
  • Project administration – Regular feedback and reports (POs / Cost management reports, Design coordination / change tracking, Program Level related items)) and other development related topics.
  • Lead/coordinate all meetings on site with the contractors and to ensure quality on site in addition to time and cost management. This quality control is essential, as the “accepted” quality standards in Spain are not acceptable for the quality of the hotel you are developing.
  • Regular meetings on site with all project stakeholders to clarify issues and monitor progress Quality reports are prepared on a weekly basis.
  • Report on the progress made in implementing the program
  • Manage snagging meetings and agree on solutions
  • Agree handover process and commissioning.
  • Preliminary discussion and coordination of inspection and test requirements

Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level in architecture, civil engineering or property development
  • Sound professional experience in construction projects (min 3 years experience)
  • International work experience and intercultural competence preferred
  • Excellent English / Spanish skills (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to inspire confidence and deal with clients, contractors and designers at all levels in a proactive way
  • Willingness and assertiveness to lead with leadership / team skills
