£28.741- £43,474 per annum + market supplement of up to £5,000 – Depending on experience and qualifications
Based at the Welwyn Garden City CampusOaklands College, is a vibrant, inclusive and progressive Further Education College, with a commitment to student success provided through the best possible learning environment and student experience”We are looking to recruit an outstanding Lecturer in Construction Management to join the team. The successful candidate would be required to teach on a range of programmes from level 3 to 6 across a range of subjects. Our provision includes BTEC Diploma, Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma and T LevelsThe ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of Land/Site Surveying and have skills in a variety of subjects. Specialisms in at least in one of the following areas: Contracts & Construction Law, Geology & Soils, Civil Engineering and CAD in addition to the core subjects that are being sought. A degree in a Construction/Civil Engineering related subject is essential. This role will also involve participation in the quality assurance process for part of the Construction Management and Civil Engineering provision. To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least a Level 5 qualification in the subject area and ideally hold a teaching qualification although full teacher training will be provided.You should have a strong commitment to high standards of classroom practice and experience of teaching or working with young people. An assessor qualification is desirable but not essential. You will have a genuine regard for young people and want to work with us to ensure that all our students aspire to do well. You will demonstrate and professional standards in your area of work. The ability to work in a team is essential, sharing good practice and working collaboratively with colleagues are qualities that we will be looking for.The college is a friendly environment, which offers excellent support, placing strong emphasis on continuous professional development.
