Our talented Conservation team is committed to meeting our responsibilities to conserve and enhance wildlife and heritage. We work well together to drive great solutions for our customers and the environment.
Reporting to the Senior Conservation Adviser, you will help deliver our duties under the Conservation Access and Recreation Code of Practice and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory drivers.
The role is diverse and will involve all aspects of delivering conservation land management and the provision of conservation advice to the business.
You will assist with the delivery of project work, including an appraisal of our peatland sites for future management and restoration, and the management, restoration and creation of priority habitats across our landholding.
Your role will support the delivery of our biodiversity land management and improvement commitments, and assist with the implementation of capital works at our key visitor and conservation sites.
Day to day you will also assist with surveying, managing and monitoring to conserve and enhance habitats and species of biodiversity importance across our estate.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of three years of experience in environmental project work and habitat management.
It is desirable that you hold a Biological Sciences or Environmental Management degree or similar, however, if you have relevant experience this is not essential.

Good IT skills, including a knowledge of Arc GIS, Microsoft Excel and Word, are essential for this role, as is an ability to deliver and report on projects within specified budget and time constraints, both independently and as part of a team.
