Your missionAs the Community Storytelling & Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for leading and implementing the Institute’s storytelling and communication strategy, managing a global community to highlight the human impact of cyberattacks and disinformation on vulnerable communities through compelling narratives. As the voice of the Institute, you will engage and inspire a global audience, deconstructing technical topics into relatable, emotional stories.ResponsibilitiesUnder the leadership of the CEO, the Community Storyteller & Engagement Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Communications team including the following tasks:Lead the implementation of the Institute’s marketing and communication strategy;Manage a global community to tell the stories of harms of cyberattack and disinformation against the most vulnerable;Deliver and ensure quality control of the Institute’s communication’s products (i.e website, social media presence, newsletters, releases, email announcements, planned publications, on-line, intranet, video, etc);Ensure alignment with the Institute’s culture, values, and beliefs across all communications;Craft & communicate high quality compelling narratives (written or multimedia format) across various platforms (e.g. events, social media, blogs, and websites);In cooperation with the Strategy, Fundraising & Partnerships, ensure that the communication strategy creates fundraising opportunities.Additional InformationStart date: as soon as possibleDuration: indefiniteLocation: Geneva or The Hague with some remote working possibilities, or full remote CET timezoneWorking rate: full-time at 32 hours per week (Mondays to Thursdays)Deadline for application: 18 November 2024Equal OpportunityThe CyberPeace Institute is an equal opportunity employer. Your profileExperience, Skills and AttributesMinimum 3 years’ experience in communications, marketing, digital marketing, journalism, media, storytelling, community management & engagement, or related fieldStudies in relevant fieldAbility to lead and manage a communications unitCreativity in playing with words, images, and interactive experienceCapacity to co-create content in a crowdsourced mannerHands-on in designing, publishing and assessing the performance of publication on your ownMaster design suites or softwareHands-on expertise of using LLM and GenAIWeb design and web development skillsStrong community creation, engagement and management skillsCapacity to be flexible and adapt to learn technical skills independentlyWork at a fast pace in an environment with a diverse skill set and backgroundKnowledge in the cybersecurity and emerging technology field is an assetFluency in English, spoken and written.
